德國橡膠工業貿易聯合會WDK（Wirtschaftsverband der deutschen Kautschukindustrie）近期宣布，將會組建一支新的隊伍，專門進行TPE的生產。這個決定是WDK四月中旬在柏林召開的年度會議中一致決定通過的。

WDK常務董事Boris Engelhardt表示“隨著TPE工作組的成立，WDK將會關注這類材料的行情發展。”WDK的TPE工作組的建立是擴大了他們的材料范圍和應用領域。他還指出，WDK在飲用水和食品領域方面的應用和管理知識，可以有效地應用于TPE生產中的技術和材料方面。

他還表示，TPE的市場關注度不斷在增加，后面將會把WDK作為彈性體業務的中心。

      The German rubber industry trade federation wdk (Wirtschaftsverband der deutschen Kautschukindustrie) has announced the creation of a new working group dedicated to thermoplastic elastomers. The decision has been unanimously taken by the bureau and the general assembly of the wdk during their annual meeting in Berlin in mid-April.
      “With the establishment of a TPE working group the wdk takes into account the dynamic development of this class of materials,” said wdk managing director Boris Engelhardt. Because of their material properties and applications the establishment of a TPE working group within the wdk is an appropriate and logical addition to the range of materials represented by the association,Engelhardt said. He furthermore pointed out that the expertise within the wdk in the fields of drinking water and food contact applications and regulations could be usefully applied for the technical and material requirements of TPE products.
      The increased attention regarding TPEs emphasises the alignment of the wdk as the central association of processors of elastomers, Engelhardt concluded.
